The Doctoral Studies Program of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Hellenic Mediterranean University aims to promote original scientific research and the development of high-level research skills, offering candidates the opportunity to make a substantial contribution to the advancement of knowledge in their respective scientific field.
Doctoral studies lead to the award of a Doctoral Degree (PhD), which is the highest academic qualification and certifies the completion of original research work. The PhD recognizes the holder’s contribution to the development of new knowledge, the application of innovative ideas, and their contribution to the scientific community at both national and international level.
The Doctoral Studies Program is organized and operates in accordance with Law 4485/2017 and the applicable regulatory framework for doctoral studies in Greece. The Program Regulations were approved by the Senate of the Hellenic Mediterranean University and published in Government Gazette B’ 3400/05-09-2019, ensuring institutional validity, transparency, and compliance with the procedures for the evaluation and supervision of candidates.
Within this regulatory framework, the admission requirements, the obligations of candidates and supervisors, the procedures for monitoring the progress of the dissertation, and the criteria for awarding the Doctoral Degree are defined, ensuring high academic and research standards.
